annes, Jewel in the crown of the "Côte d'Azur" since the dawn of time, focal point for festivals throughout the world and a cultural melting pot, the city of Cannes welcomes you. You couldn't dream of a place more like paradise than Cannes, a town whose eclectic scenery has amazed even then most powerful. From the Romans, the chose it as a place in which to settle, to the English chancellor Lord Brougham, not to mention Napoleon, Cocteau and many others, all have fallen in love with this vibrant, colourful town and its peaceful way of life.

Cannes embodies the sweetly scented nation of a life which everybody dreams of living. It is the sun which first playfully with the azure blue of the sea, before laying down to sleep in the arms of its wooded mountains. It is the harmonious marriage of sparkling colour and light. It's lush vegetation prospers languidly in the idyllic climate. The perfect getaway for those who appreciate the finer things in life.
If life in Cannes is a festival, it is because nothing is left up to chance, everything is planned to the smallest detail to meet the expectations of everyone who visits there. Here, where French cuisine is at its finest , we are invited by the most dignified representatives of this art to take part in a "festival of flavour", shellfish and crustaceans, freshly caught fish, local specialities perfumed with the delicate aromas of basil, garlic or black olive. From prestigious cuisine to traditional dishes, the palace is not to the missed.

Accommodation in Cannes, amongst the most prestigious in the world, is unsurpassable. After a gastronomic voyage of discovery, you can relax in the palaces, the haunts of many famous faces, where you can rub shoulders with the stars. There is of course more modest, but by no means inferior accommodation available in the many hotels, tourist residences and apartments. The choice, as much qualitative as quantitative , has always catered for the most discerning tourist.

With its Old Port, the illustrious "Croisette" and the Old Town, scented with Italian fragrances , Cannes is a festival of discovery. And with the "Rue d'Antibes",
which reads like an honours list of the best known designers and is the last word in luxury and elegance, Cannes is also a festival of shopping.

However, Cannes is also and perhaps more importantly the cultural cradle of this picturesque region where the past has been preserved. You only need travel 6 kilometres to discover the capital of pottery "Vallauris", where Picasso, Cocteau and Jean Marais made their mark. A little further on, though still less than 7 km away, from the old town of Mougins, you can benefit from are of the most breath taking views of this blooming region, as well as visit the many art galleries and an impressive collection of Picasso prints. Grasse, the perfume capital of the world lies a mere 16 km away , as does Biot, renowned for its glass, where you will be guided through a fantastical, dream-life world of colours and forms. 20 kms away you will find the place in which many modern art greats take to their wings . Saint Paul de Vence invites you to visit its narrow streets and ramparts, spared by time, and the famous square where Yves Montand played "pétanque" (bowls) as well as its impressive cultural richness. Not forgetting Antibes, all of 10 kms away, where you will find fortifications, a first class museum of Picasso's works and a maritime park, "Marine land", where dolphins, orcs and sea-lions splash and frolic.
An hours journey by car and you find yourself in a place where you can ski and share in the joys and delights of the mountains , or discover the extravagance of one of the very last principalities in the world and one of the most famous, Monaco.
Cannes is the byword for year round enjoyment, which can be found close at hand. A place where culture, shopping, relaxation, sport and leisure meet.
Cannes is life at its very best.
